Beginning Wood Turning

Woodturning is one of the fastest growing segments of the woodworking community. See what all of the excitement is about in this basic spindle turning class.  Students will learn the basic cuts using five of the most popular tools. Students will design and turn a poplar-wood mallet for use back home in their own shops.  Take this three hour class if you are a beginner or just need a refresher.

All wood, lathes, tools, chucks and sharpening is provided

Students are encouraged to bring their own tools if they have them.

Students should bring work clothes with NO long sleeves or dangling drawstrings.

Long hair MUST be tied back or held in a cap.   No loose jewelry.

Required equipment: Safety glasses and or face shield.  Dust mask, if so desired.
