Designing Your Own Workbench

  • Blue Heron Woodworking 611 West 11th Street, Ste. 3 Bloomington, IN, 47404 United States (map)

You know you need a better workbench. Should you buy one or build one. If you decide to build one….how will you do it? We’ll answer this question and many more during this three-hour workshop. We’ll discuss what type of bench you really need, different construction techniques based on your skills and tools, what materials you should use, vises and cost. We’ll examine several benches, large permanent benches, and collapsible benches, and point out their strengths and weakness. After this workshop, you should have a rough sketch of what you want and a good idea of how to build it.
