Scroll Saw Basics
Small but mighty...
The kid brother of the bandsaw, scroll saws are fun, versatile and relatively safe power tools that allow the user to make puzzles, intarsia, compound objects, nameplates, fretwork, and much more. This class will cover the basic operation of the scroll saw. It will teach basic saw safety, blade selection, cutting techniques, etc. This hands-on class is open to all skill levels and is a perfect parent/child class. Students will leave the class with completed projects in hand as well as materials and extra blades to use at home. Each paid participant or adult/child combo will have access to their own scroll saw to use during this session.
Required equipment: Safety glasses, hearing protection
Prerequisites: None, open to all ages over 9 years old (with parent supervision)
Class size: 4 paid adults

Cost of materials: $20 (will include project lumber, blades for use in class and an assortment of blades to take home).
